The Author's Guide to Murder by Beatriz Williams

3.5

I enjoyed this, but found it slow to get into.

The premise of this is just a hoot and very fun. At first, I disliked the three character and found their whining and complaints about each other annoying. As the book went on, however, they became more fully formed individuals and I found myself enjoying their teasing and individual quirks.

I enjoyed the history threaded through the novel, and the location in Scotland made for some interesting adventures.

The writing style was good once I moved past the beginning police interviews - the format of them, combined with the lack of knowledge about what was going on, made it a difficult start to get into the book.

Overall, I enjoyed it, but not sure I would recommend
