For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten

4.0

Loved it! It had such a cool way of exploring the Wilderwood magic and the Shadowlands magic being in constant flow. The relationships in this book are rooted in so much love but fear of loss. That’s, in my opinion, a theme that blankets each moment of the story. Someone’s strength becomes someone’s loss. Someone’s gain is someone’s sacrifice and the question that’s always asked is, “is it worth it?”

There were times where it felt like the story kind of dragged and there was a constant stubbornness of the characters that got a little frustrating, but all in all I’m excited to read the second book as it looks longer and may explain more of the Wilderwood and where the magic came from.
