Julie Garwood's historical romances are still my go-to books for re-reading and comfort. Her contemporary novels do not hold the same magic but still retains the some charm. Fast Track is touted as romantic suspense but if you have been reading the previous books in the series, you know there's not too much suspense or mystery everything is fairly evident early on but the romance part of it is usually the exciting element of the book. Here the chemistry between Aiden and Cordelia was not as stirring but I still loved the witty and sassy dialogue banter between the 2 of them.
Any of these books can be read as standalone's even though they are part of the series except that some of the characters do repeat in some books. The stories are mostly similar but if one is looking for some lighthearted easy romance with a dash of suspense, Fast Track is exactly the answer.
