Red Sparrow by Jason Matthews
4.0
What I appreciated:
- intelligent, capable female characters
- well-developed, multi-faceted characters overall
- lots of interesting plot twists with rich descriptions of life in the CIA and Russian intelligence service
Yes, it builds slowly. If you don't have an adult attention span, this may not be the spy novel for you.
Would love to see this as a movie if they manage not to dumb down the leads. I do approve of this: http://screenrant.com/jennifer-lawrence-spy-movie-red-sparrow/
I'm not sure if I understand the need to include all the recipes at the end of the chapters, but it wasn't a huge issue.
