The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen

5.0

I've delved out of my long hibernation from reviewing books just to have a moment where I rave about this book over and over again. Like, when I read this book, I sort of expected to have an average read, seeing as it takes a lot to please me; but, boy, this book surprised me a lot. It was like one of the best reads ever and I still can't get over it. The pacing was superb and edge-of-your-seat thrilling; the characters were well-drawn and complex and so utterly believable; the plot, most of all, was literally perfection. Four orphaned boys fighting for their very lives in a competition where they get to be a puppet prince as a(n undesired) prize—what more could you possibly want?

I mean, this book is great, awesome, amazing, perfection, etc. There are no words to sum up the love I have for this book except perhaps for these ones: go read it, because books like this should be more popular.
