Despite being written in old English, it was an easy read. I’ve always liked thrilling, detective-ish, mystery types of books so I was immediately hooked with the plot despite knowing it already because I’ve seen the Netflix series version.
I also love how modern the author’s viewpoint is of women in society. I hope I read more of this viewpoint in books moving forward.
With all these being said, the only thing I don’t like about this book is the unclear resolution of the plot. However, I do understand the intention because I know it’s part of a series.
