The Pairing
by Casey McQuiston
slow-paced
A slutty bisexual epic love story. It is a sigh of relief whenever I come across a romance novel that defies traditional gender roles. Very adventurous and fully of yearning with a splash of kink. At times it felt a tad drawn out, especially Kit's narration--I was so thrown off to have a new narrator halfway through the book that I had to take a break for a few days to recover lmao. That said, both characters had distinct and authentic voices. The central conflict is a bit contrived, but the gays deserve a hundred overly dramatic passionate love stories that are actually written well. The gays also deserve some adult romance narratives that aren't so sexually explicit, but I'll take the horny ones too.
