This was such a bittersweet short story.

It was nice to see Arin as a more delicate and vulnerable person. But sad as well, because it really shows how life can harden even the ones with a pure heart.

Plus, the tale of the goatherd and the god of snow was sad as well. Nothing comes for free and gods are tricky. *sigh*

Recommended to the fans of The Winner's Curse or those who want to read the book.
