Inkspell by Cornelia Funke
3.0
Not as good as Inkheart. It took such a long time and effort to finish this book. There were more explanations than story. It was like reading a long essay that was so tiresome and boring. The story was not that bad but unwanted explanations made it really boring. Meggie, who is just 13, is shown to behave as a girl of 18.She is brave and all but love life for a 13 year old is a little absurd. The Wayless Wood seemed to be wonderful. The fairies, fire elves, nightmares, white women and all the strange creatures were interesting to read about. Dustfinger was the hero of the book but among so many characters, he somehow disappeared. There are so many characters in this book that it's hard to remember them all. Many bad things kept happening in the book. It was like every time, bad people won over good people. I thought the Inkworld trilogy was supposed to be like a children story, warm and happy, but this book shattered all those things I thought about it. Well, lets see what the third book brings... Hope it has a happy ending!
