Golden Desires by Kira Roman, Ephie Cordner
5.0
Golden Desires, Book 4 in Fairy Tales With A Monstrous Twist is a sweet paranormal omegaverse by Kira Roman and Ephie Gordner. It is a loose retelling of Goldie Locks and the Three Bears. Goldie is a lonely omega abused by her family and almost everyone in her village. When she runs from her village, she meets three handsome alpha mates who make her feel safe. However, will she feel the same when she discovers these alphas are also monsters?
I enjoyed the characters and how sweet these monsters were. They treated Goldie like a queen, giving her everything and even space for her to move at the speed she needed in their relationship. I felt for Goldie, who has been abused for years after the loss of her mother. Aldair, Cillian, and Kylan had loss and tragedy of their own, but we're more fortunate than Goldie in the support they had. This book was perfectly paced, and I read it in a day.
If you enjoy monster omegaverse reverse harems with fated mates, found family, fairy tale retellings, and cinnamon roll alphas, then you'll love Golden Desires. This story is a standalone from a series called Fairy Tales With A Monstrous Twist, and I highly recommend these other retellings if you enjoy this one. There is mention of both sexual and physical abuse of FMC and loss of parents while the characters heal from their trauma, so if these are topics you can not handle, I'd avoid this book.
