First off, the artist for this volume is leagues better than the last. It's nice not to have to deal with uncanny valley children anymore. I also really loved the writing both for Deadpool himself and the supporting cast. I feel like it brought up a lot of interesting talking points and I was emotionally moved by several of the themes. The focus on the fact that Deadpool is someone who does attempt to help the lives of people around him in part because he is incapable of actually finding true and lasting happiness was touching. I also really enjoyed his relationship with Apocalypse. I'm a sucker for morally questionable mentors of children who could grow up to be something terrible.  I also loved the final chapter on fracking. I am giving it an extra start for the fracking. 4 stars.
