eyleen 's review for:
A Semi-Definitive List of Worst Nightmares
by Krystal Sutherland
This book was so so weird.
But it also hooked me.
I still don't understand a lot of things and the ending left many loose threads, otherwise it would have been 4 stars.
Questions:
What was up with Eugene? Did he really disappear at times (paranormal?) or was that a metaphor? If so, what happened to him?
Why could Jonah suddenly go to film school? I thought he couldn't leave his sister with his alcoholic father??
What was up with Horowitz? Was he really Death?
What on Earth happened in the end when Esther talked about getting all those calling cards from Death and would be the next apprentice?? Why was this not resolved?
Apart from this I loved the quests and the "movement" it turned into and of course the message of the book.
