Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay
by Elena Ferrante
I love these books. They’re absolutely plotless but captivating as hell. The characterization, the language, the descriptions of Italy, all of it is breathtaking. And I can’t. Stop. Listening.
My favorite line (from Lila, said with malice, but will make absolutely no sense out of context): “I’ve known how to whistle since I was 5 years old.”
