I’m sorry…pardon…bring a wife….nope! Given that this is not my culture, I could not understand! I appreciated this book for educating me about another culture.
Stay With Me is about The Power of Love - love for your husband/wife, family, marriage, child, tradition, reputation. As Yejide and her husband yearn to complete their family, life would have it that everything happens when it’s suppose to but sometimes our decisions without communication can be detrimental.
I could not believe how this story unfolded before my eyes. I was upset with everyone in this book at some point during this story; I cackled at the occasional joke and the audacity of a few persons. Throughout Stay With Me, there is betrayal, sadness, grief, loss, violence, passion but there is love.
