i really enjoyed the overall premise of this book and had a pleasant time reading it. it was entertaining with a touch of suspense, which always enjoy. however i do have a couple complaints. 1- i didn’t love the pop culturey references or lingo, but i am never a fan of that in books, 2- i felt the plot being slightly all over the place but i was still able to follow what was going on for the most part, & 3- i wish there were more scenes with sarah’s kids, i always love found family
vibes and single mother vibes and even though we did get a few scenes of the boys with colt and sammy i just wish it was a bigger plot point. i will say i did love that the book focused on not only sarah’s relationship with colt and sammy but also colt and sammy’s relationship with each other outside of sarah. i didn’t read the first book in this series but it recapped everything enough that it was fine. was it perfect? no. did i enjoy it? of course
