Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood
3.75
funny hopeful inspiring lighthearted relaxing fast-paced

50 shades of The Love Hypothesis

Positives:
- the smut was actually good & fun!!!
- I was kicking my feet and giggling quite frequently
- Elsie my Ace-coded beloved….. Get behind me I’m so serious….. This could be me shouting into the void, but as an adult diagnosed autistic who spent most of my life undiagnosed I felt like I could reaaaallly see that in Elsie as well in terms of masking and people pleasing
- the romance dynamic in this was really really fun and maybe I love Jack idk (Adam is still my favourite though, I’m loyal)
- Ali Hazelwood being an Alice x Bella shipper she’s so meeeeee (Where is the Alice x Bella omegaverse book Ali give us something sapphic I actually beg of you)
- this is so completely unrelated but I think Ali could write a killer dnd romance

Negatives:
- definitely still lots of cringe-y moments/dialogue but I found I could overlook it for the most part
- also irritatingly similar to The Love Hypothesis in pretty much every way, but in its defence, I do think this book stands on its own way better then Love on the Brain did
