Oh my, honestly I didn’t think you could pack more action into a book than Shadow Frost had... but God Storm was like one of those roller coaster rides that just when you think it’s over it shoots you backwards through the whole course over again.
It’s hard to review without spoilers because really you need to know where everyone ended up after Shadow Frost to really appreciate the all the progression in God Storm. I will say I loved some of the characters getting darker and the God of Shadow was just a fabulous character.
This time all of your favorite characters were mostly split up and fighting their own battles so there would be long stretches without Asterin, which made for a dynamic story but also left me missing her. Luna’s development as a character was completely bada** and I was loving it. Like the last story there was often a lot going on and yet it wasn’t always clear what it was building to but all of the threads pulled together nicely. Like the last book, I wish it had ended two chapters earlier but I get the YA trend to leave you dying for the next book.
