This book was so stunning! The imagery and metaphors that Jandy Nelson weaves throughout her story are phenomenal. I immediately fell in love with the twins, especially Jude.
The only problem I had with this book was the first chapter, which was Noah's chapter. It was very confusing and all over the place. I understand that Noah has an artist's imagination and he lives inside his head but I just really did not like it. But the rest of the book was good and the rest of Noah's chapters were amazing.
I did really enjoy Noah and Jude's quirks - Noah with his painting names and Jude with the hogwash bible. Jude's brought a smile to my face, and all of her bible hogwash sounded exactly like what an old grandma would put into the bible.
I'll Give You the Sun is about best friends finding their way back to each other and it's everything I thought it would be.
