Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff

This book was a wild ride! It had a sort of Mad Max + Tank Girl + Fallout vibe. The futuristic/dystopian USA (called Yousay in the book) is so cleverly written and thought out. Jay Kristoff really developed the settings, lingo, and culture, making everything unique and believable.
I've always been fascinated by the concept of robot/AI ethics, and how the concept of "humanity" plays into it. This concept is explored in the novel, and there's definitely no easy or straightforward answer. The ending had a couple great twists I didn't see coming.
I loved the friendship between Eve, Lemon, and Cricket.
I was also a huge fan of Ezekiel and the other Lifelikes. Their background is both horrifying and utterly compelling, and there's no simple black and white viewpoint when it comes to the Lifelikes or the other robots.
This book is honestly everything I need in a sci-fi, and I'm so excited for the second book to come out this year!
