I liked the concept and thought I’d enjoy it but I did not. It was very repetitive almost like the author didn’t think we would remember anything we’ve read in the book previously. I found the romance plot to be very unexciting. The main character Vic felt as though the author was trying to portray a naive and awkward boy but went way too far with it that he comes off more as an idiot rather than quirky. The climax of the book and all the tension up to it really lead to nothing.
It was continuously stated that getting into the the benevolent tower would be difficult and they practically just walked in.
the ending fell completely flat.
