Excellent book. Felt like an Edwardian story - for good and bad- at the start but the bad gets dispelled by action (seriously show don't tell). My main emotions through this were ones of shock - so many twists and turns especially during the battle scenes. This book deserved to be seen as a modern YA classic. I love the descriptions and the subtle world building and the characters- even the villains. A big question in this book is "who to trust?"
