A Dowry of Blood is my favorite vampire story, so I was delighted to return to this world and reunite with these characters in this epilogue/short story. The exploration of healthy non-monogamy and long-distance relationships with these immortal characters made my heart happy, especially after everything that they have been through in the original story. I loved hearing what these characters have been up to since the ending of A Dowry of Blood. The prose was immaculate as ever, and the writing was very strong even for a story as short as this one. I loved the ending of the original story, and I think it was important for The Brides to forge their own paths, but it was so comforting to know that they would eventually and always find their way back to one another. I recommend this short story for anyone who loved A Dowry of Blood, and wish to know what became of The Brides.
