Have you ever actually enjoyed a book where you hate all the characters? Yeah me neither.
Liked
Liked
- None of it. Maybe Henry wasn’t a total piece of crap, but in any other book I would think he was garbage too
Disliked
- Anne is a doormat
- Jennifer is blah
- Lyon is a sack of shit
- All other men are equally shitty
- And Neely can burn in hell. How she survived the damn book is a mystery to me. It would have been better if she had never existed
In all seriousness, I can look at this objectively and say that it takes a talented author to make me this angry about a work of fiction. Which is why it gets 2 stars. If it hadn’t been for my book club I may have DNFed it. Now I need a nice palate cleanser with a happy ending and characters I actually like.
