This book was given to me after being confused for a different ‘City on Fire’. After the line above was repeated multiple times in the first few pages, I was ready to write it off.
I had to double back about 60 pages in and take note of the dozens of character names that had been introduced. It was Pat, Pam, Pasco, Paul and Peter that gave me the most trouble.
It ended up hooking me in. I think I’d go back for the sequel.
