To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
5.0

I am deeply ashamed to say that I am only just reading the book for the first time in my life. It's clear to me now why this book has become one of America's enduring classics. The characters are really well written, the plot is compelling in a way that still feels contemporary even though it's decades removed from many of the things going on in America right now.

If you decide to pick up the Audiobook version, Sissy Spacek does an amazing job of narrating. She really brings the characters to life in interesting ways.

Lastly, I think one of the marks of a great book is that they inspire the kind of person you hope to become. In reading this book, I have come to the conclusion that if I ever become a man, I hope to be a man like Atticus Finch.
