Overall decent story. Obviously it kept me interested enough to read the trilogy. I liked that it showed the different family dynamics and family struggles and farm struggles. It was great that it wasn't just sunshine and rainbows. At first, the narration bothered me because it's a little on the boring side for all 3 books, but honestly, it fits D.J.'s personality with her being the narrator so it grew on me. One thing I really wanted more of what after high school and more with her romance.
