This one was a slower start for me and I was surprised I was having a hard time getting into it at first. I think it was because it was “the boy who cried wolf” trope and also just introduced us to a new set of characters from three pines that hadn’t been mentioned before so it took a bit to adjust. Ultimately it was really good and fascinating. Loved the historical fiction aspect especially!
