This was such a cute heartwarming read!

Jolene, a 30 something who is struggling with her trajectory in life, is incredibly relatable. You worry about her, you’re annoyed by her, you cry for her and, more than anything, you route for her.

I loved the complexity of the side characters as well. They all felt like such full and complete people and while you kind of hated them at times, you still get them somehow.

Overall, a very enjoyable read. It had strong Sophie Kinsella vibes and while I sometimes found myself getting frustrated with the web of secrets and lies, I still always wanted to know what happened. For me, miscommunication tropes are a bit difficult so it loses a star but if that’s your thing this is going to be a 5 star for you.
