My favorite of the MXTX works! It is INCREDIBLY bulky and that's intimidating, but once you get into it, it feels like no time passes at all while you plow through it. The romance is incredibly engaging and sweet, they're very domestic. The main character is EXTREMELY likable. Best boy, does nothing wrong ever. The love interest is the mysterious sexy but kind "bad" boy every straight romance author THINKS they're doing, but Hua Cheng is 100x better-- namely because he actually loves AND likes Xie Lian as well as being attracted to him. The supporting cast is ALL incredibly likable and engaging, as are the side plots. There are some sections that may drag a little ie the flashback portions, but they do help give further context and it isn't enough to drop the score. A must read.
