Grave Secret
by Charlaine Harris
This is the 4th in the series featuring the character of Harper Connelly who at 15 was struck by lightning and acquired a 'gift' of finding dead people, which she has put to good use by providing a service for those who have unanswered questions. She is assisted by her stepbrother Tolliver. The past finally catches up with them.
I enjoyed this (at the moment) finale to this series I wish I could have given it 3.5 stars rather than 3. I like the character of Harper she is blunt and plain speaking and uses her gift to help others even though at times it is painful and takes a lot out of her. It is not like she makes a great deal of money in fact they just about get by so they are not exploiting others. Charlaine's writing style is easy to read and flows along well and keeps your attention. I often find myself thinking about the characters even when I'm not reading it puzzling through the story in my mind a sure sign that the story is capturing my attention. I found the conclusion a surprise maybe I should have guessed but I didn't. I recommend the series.
