🍎 The Teacher by Freida McFadden 🍎

MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Eve and her husband, Nate, are getting ready for another first day of school at the high school they both teach at, where, last year, the school community was rocked by a scandal involving a teacher and a student, Addie. This year, Addie is in both Eve and Nate’s classes, and Eve knows she doesn’t trust her, but isn’t quite sure why.

I enjoyed this book more than many of Freida’s other books I’ve read. I listened to the audio book in one day, and enjoyed the story. It was thriller-y, but I didn’t find it super suspenseful as I felt like we knew what was happening throughout, and I wasn’t particularly surprised by anything. There were definitely some twists at the end (like in the epilogue) - though I feel like I have questions based on what we were told earlier.
Overall, I enjoyed the book and it kept me hooked. It is a good quick read to keep you turning pages, and to maybe get you out of a slump for a bit!
