What a tremendously gorgeous read!

There was definitely laughter, but there was also joy, swoons, and just a bundle of warm hugs throughout. It was a comfort read through and through.

It's friends-to-lovers excellence; going down in the history books (aka my personal journal, ha) as one of the greatest romances to feature this underrated trope. It's so obvious how much Farley and Meyer love one another; yet their personal insecurities and doubt blind them to the mutual feelings, until a certain scenario arrives bringing other delicious tropes that will leave Farley and Meyer with no choice but to confront within themselves and each other the long-linger feelings that having only increased in time.

My only nitpick would be I felt detached towards the end. The final conflict-- that last romantic hurdle -- was lackluster. In real life, I would say it was handled with responsibility and maturity, but in fiction, I say, while it was refreshing that the narrative didn't succumb to the usual high drama tropes so many other books will do (and I wholeheartedly thank it for that), it still lacked a certain zest. It fell flat in a way the rest of the book absolutely did not. I wasn't as into the ending as I was the rest of this book.

But my love supersedes my mixed emotions at the end, and as a whole, this book was truly terrific.
