A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair
4.0
This is the first book in a trilogy about Hades and Persephone. The setting is in modern times and I really liked the idea of gods being business owners. Hades having a nightclub seemed very appropriate.
Persephone is the Goddess of Spring but no one knows it. Her mother, Demeter, hid her away her whole life and no one knows of her existence. She borrows her mother’s magic, with none of her own, and lives glamoured as a mortal. She gambles with Hades and stumbles into a contract with him. She must create life in the grim Underworld within 6 months or stay there forever.
The amount of smut in this book is just right.
