Hard Times
by Charles Dickens
This is a great edition. It includes a transcript of Dickens' notes for the novel. His descriptive "pictures" that set the scenes are so beautiful and dark that you feel yourself walking down the congested streets of Coketown. Even the minor characters are well developed and enhance the story. Dickens always does a great job of tying up all the loose ends, something I appreciate in a novel, and Hard Times is no exception.
