Everything from my review of the first book in this series echos here in the second installment, and is amplified. The action scenes in this book are so well written. The way it is narrated you can almost hear the clangs of steel, and whooshes of wind created by the swift movements. The best villain I think ever written in this trilogy. He is devious, maniacal, clever, and downright evil. All the while being incredibly interesting. The magic system is very similar to Eragon's magic system, but is still done very well in this book with its own unique spin. The revolution is in full swing in this book and you truly feel the tension on each page.
