The Wren in the Holly Library by K.A. Linde
slow-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? No
- Loveable characters? No
- Diverse cast of characters? Yes
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

What to say about this disaster.
I was genuinely convinced that the author was a man until I looked her up. The FMC feels like she is written by a man and yes that is an insult. I felt that many things she did was for the male gaze and it gave me the ick.
The dynamic between the FMC (Kierce) and MMC, (Graves) felt so forced. There was no chemistry and it felt like they were madly in love but I don’t know when that happened in the story. The spicy scenes were so cringy and made me uncomfortable.
The plot was unoriginal and was very predictable. There were plot points added that didn’t add anything to the story. It felt like the author wanted to do too much and accomplished nothing.
I could say so many other things about this book but I don’t want to waste the energy. I don’t recommend.
