Just finished this book and I really, REALLY liked it.
Des aka 'The Bargainer' is badass, his quips and inappropriate comments at pretty much anything had me smirking like an idiot more than usual.
I wanted to like Callypso, but she was just too contrary to common sense I guess. I understand where she's coming from, but in some cases I was baffled at her lack of common sense...
That being said, I would still love to know more about everything and everyone.
This book felt like a romancy prequel to what should have been the major plot point: the disappearance of the Fae and the casket women and children.
Finding out about the Thief of Souls was thrilling, but I was disappointed when the entire plot line seemed to be shoved to the background in favor of the romance. Don't get me wrong, I liked the romance but something as significant as a major villain shouldn't get pushed aside like that.
I hope the sequel will expand on the actual plot some more now that the two main characters are finally together (the reasoning behind that actually made me tear up).
I love the writing style and really, REALLY want the second book RIGHT NOW!
Over and Out!
