I loved this. A terrific expansion on the previous book's characters, with deeper themes, more challenging character development, it's funnier, has some great themes on manhood, virtue, and honor (as well as some Christian themes, I might add), all while remaining a really charming kid's fantasy/adventure book. An excellent example of how to do a sequel right.
It took me a while after the first book to seek out this one, but I already can't wait to grab the third.
