The City of Falling Angels by John Berendt
1.0
Honestly, I haven't finished this book. A rare occurrence, but I cannot summon the energy to finish. While this nonfiction makes it hard to believe it is anything but fiction in the beginning, the factorial element of it has finally snuck up on me nearly 200 pages in. Such is the reason why I have grown bored and simply don't want to continue on. The idea of the author following along the path of the Opera House, the Fenice, after it burns down in the mid 1990s is intriguing. It feels like a mystery, going to each person and finding their memories of the Fenice. And now I've reached a point of absolute boredom that just dictates history involving Venice. I just can't, my deepest apologies, but It is no longer as interesting as the first few pages.
