The Never Have I Ever Club by Mary Jayne Baker

4.0

A light-hearted and sweet romance that is set in a small village in Yorkshire.

The first thing I liked about this book is the fact it's set in a small village in Yorkshire and I could really feel that from the characters. The concept of the Never Have I Ever club is very sweet and I enjoyed the fact that sometimes it seemed like the club was a bad idea but at the end it turned out to be a very good idea.

The characters are all well written and the secondary characters have enough depth you can relate to them but they don't distract from the story. As other readers have said, Aunt Fliss was great.

The friendship between Robyn and Will was adorable and the opening chapter - perfect. But I did not see much evidence of their relationship moving from platonic to "more than", I would have liked to have seen more chemistry between them. For a romance there was not much build up, though the sweet side stories made up for that.
