This is not a love story. The writing style is really good, and I enjoyed reading it. The only character I really liked and cared for was Mr. Linton, and Hareton second. The description of the abuse happening is very vivid and well executed, as much so that I hope Emelie Bronte didn't have to suffer through something similar in her life. If you want to say this still is a love story, it's not one between the ones you think it is.
