This is my first Lisa Jewell book and all I can say is WOW. I am usually very good at spotting the ending to a lot of thrillers, this one I had no idea which way it was going to go and that makes me so happy because I absolutely ate it up. There were a few twists and none of them I felt like were far-fetched. They all made sense to the story & believable, job well done to Ms Jewell. I am super excited to go through her work and add them to my TBR.
I loved the story about the podcast, I know podcast are becoming popular, but you don’t hear many novels with podcasts in them so I thought that theme was really fun.
I just cannot get over the twists and turns that was Josie’s life. I truly thought it was going one way and then so many of the twists just shattered my thoughts. I guess some of my thoughts are still true, but nothing could have prepared me for the truth. And the ending almost felt like there might be a second book? Which I am all for.
I think my only con was that I did listen to the book and although I really loved the music and the sound effects that were used to really make you feel like you were a part of the story, I feel like the theme song was way overused and incredibly too dramatic. Saying that, I highly recommend if you read this book, you should listen to it.
