Not my favorite novella but it was pretty short.
Caress of Darkness was meh to me. I feel like things went by crazy fast, which for a short novella seemed odd, and then I just wasn't connecting with anyone or anything. I'm usually not a fan of insta-anything and this little thing had so much of it. I feel like my brain is melting after all of it. Might try to get into the actual series just to see if things are different with the bigger books.
