This book is so fun to read aloud! It really lends itself to a dramatic reading, with sound effects, and yelling, and the kids get involved, too. The tension builds as the alligator stalks the three kids in their apartment, until the fun conclusion with its theme of facing your monsters. I love the poetry in this book, too. It beautifully illustrates the atmosphere and the action.
