Did not finish book. Stopped at 54%.

I HATE not being able to finish a book. I know how much an author gives of himself/herself when writing a book. BUT, this book is SOOOOOOO slow. I have tried for two weeks to read this book and am only at the 54% mark. It's like I read pages and pages and got nowhere. The characters are flat and SO boring, the author tells ways too much (trust your reader a little more, please), and the plotline is way too Hallmarky for my tastes. I don't find myself rooting for the characters at all, rather I want to roll my eyes at them. I refuse to read more of this book when it's taken me so long just to get to the halfway point. Honestly, I don't care if these characters reach happily ever after or not.
