Losing Sam by Nicole Maser

4.0

Remind me to never again read a book with such an obvious title. That's about all the bad I have to say. This book was a compelling read, transitioning into the next plot point seamlessly. It wasn't until the end that I started thinking that some scenes were intentionally unbelievable, no way that could happen and it was mainly
SpoilerLuke's mom revealing in front of her new (secret) boo that she's happy her and Luke have gotten back together - mind you the new boo is in the hospital from barely surviving a motorcycle accident like now is not the time.
I don't intentionally read books anymore where the coming out is a huge driving force or conflict but it did keep the tension high and the cry I had at the end was cathartic and needed.
