I loved Faebound so I have to say I am a little disappointed with this. I found a lot of the plot points predictable and all the characters needed 'talk to each other' slapped on their heads. New character Alder was welcome and as usual the obeah characters are enjoyable but my girl Pila got no time to shine in this one. Honestly this felt like a filler book to get to the last novel, as a lot of the plot meandered about and did nothing. In saying that I wouldn't say its put me off wanting to read the last one. It's just disappointing that Cursebound felt like it was holding back possibly for something overly dramatic for the final instalment.
