High Fidelity by Nick Hornby

I wasn't sure whether to give this book, one or two stars. For a bit, I thought I should give it two stars, simply because I *loved* the quote that goes something like this: "What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?"
Overall the book was horrible. There was no plot, just endless chapters of whining. Our main character, Rob, was too self-absored, annoying and just a plain old douche. This book was supposed to be some sort of eye opener on why guys are the way they are, but all I got was pathetic excuses that pissed me off. It was a complete waste of time, and it was not funny at all. Over-hyped piece of crap.
