Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

5.0

It's been a decade and a half since I read Enders Game for the first time and to this day it has impacted my way of thinking. The tragic assumptions we make that are a part of us as children and adults are both explored here. As a child I remember the mind bending concepts that Card laid out made it so compelling. Card has an uncanny way of getting into the minds of thoughtful children who face adversity. Perhaps more than anything, though, Game is a gateway drug to the Shadow series with Bean, perhaps where the best storytelling is yet to come.
