The whole time as I was reading this book, all I could think of is “wow this book is somewhat more tame compared to the other books I’ve read by him” which I suppose is true! And do I dislike spiders more? Yes slightly. Will I ever go into a remote island that literally everyone says “DONT GO TO IT”? Yeah not happening. If I didn’t want to before, then this book just fueled it even more. And also spoiler warning, NOT A HAPPY ENDING. BUT STILL A REAL AMAZING READ ONCE AGAIN!!! One thing I love about Sodergren’s books is how he can add the most meanest, horrible, and awful characters ever and I just know they’re gonna will get one of the worst deaths ever. Like yes thank you David for doing all of us a favor and killing them off horribly. I will say I really didn’t expect the ending at all. I was so hoping for a good ending but.. no. But not complaining! I really loved this book and can’t wait to read more!
